Billy Ashcroft, born on October 1st, 1952, is a former English footballer who played as a Centre-Back and Striker. He had a notable career with Tranmere Rovers, where he played from 1985 to 1986, scoring twice in 23 league appearances. Ashcroft also had successful stints with other clubs such as Middlesbrough and Wrexham, accumulating over 300 league games across his career. After his time in football, Ashcroft became the licensee of the George pub in Southport.
